0 What we teach our kids.

We're teaching our kids lessons,
that they would learn anyways

Why not teach them knowledge,
that they may never find out

The aspects of life that we examined,
stumbled upon in the moment

A lit firefly in the aphotic night,
that may never come across again

To teach them how to think,
instead of what to memorize

A robotic soul caught in the headlights,
programed to see what the world wants

Philosophies that goes beyond childhood,
that matures us into adults

An old book of a heart's fantasy,
Growing wiser with time

That they can control who they are,
and not loose all they have gained

A train derailed on the tracks,
steaming and puffing down to oblivion

0 Dynamism of power

Preoccupied with power as a whole
instead of the power within yourself

The virtue to change your own world
to define who you are

For what strength does a whole give,
if one is shattered inside?

What weight does one add,
to rely on the measure of another?

Must you resolve your weakness,
without understanding it's nature?

For what does delusions add,
to the substance of a man?

That a man can not devour,
the insanity of the world

Thinking between the shutters of thoughts
into the aphotic abyss of the soul

Deep within the catacombs
Grows a world of memories and dreams

0 Dying inside change haiku

Dying inside change
Adulthood and childhood clash
Both worlds lost within

0 Dying inside change poem

Our dying adolescence
looking for answers
To revive our souls into adulthood

When the days transform into years
small ripples change into whirlpools
To resolve our inconsistencies

Yet some can't merge the two reality's
our childhood with our adulthood
and become lost in life

They become lost to spiritual treasures
settling for silence than absolution
That would keep their world turning

Learning from inadequacy
from others instead of from within
Dictated by everyone's cascading decisions

Mandolin slicer

rubbing my heart on its blade

0 Two haiku's about our perceptions in life

We believe ourselves
to be correct with our thoughts
Then: new perceptions

Our beliefs makes us
who we are but there's always
improvements and change

0 Two haiku's about our life's journeys

Looking to others

For your journey's path in life

yet you tread alone

We all want to be

apart of one path when we

all have our own fate

0 Lyrical Love poem song

There is this person I know
And her name is written in my soul

Soul-mates quantified by the love that resides inside
Separate strings entangled on fate's thread

She is the heart-beats that I share
and through the music of darkness, I'll be there

Heart strings quantified by the hands of a clock
Emotional gears causing my eyes to knock

Knock on the doors of dreams, the doors of life
and open up our reality like a flower in bloom

When we are apart from one another
our voices are soliloquies and lyrics

To the representations of each-other that abide
an essence of two hearts which collide

That is neither there nor here
But a bridge across two lives

(repeat whole song backwards)

0 Is it over or still coursing through me?? by Ariabelle Sierra

fallen angels
always hanging around
your shoulders

whispering for you to go back to
the addicting drug
you loved soo much

teasing you with empty lies
always sugar coating them
for you to get that little
trip you loved so much

the high that made all your hellish world
gone for a few minutes
and then washed back down
to reality

and the cycle turns right back to this
ugly little rut you put yoruself in

You tried stopping the addiction
but the withdrawls are so rough
that your body shakes and writhers
for that taste of seduction
coursing through your veins
once again...

while your brain is wanting you to stop this
ugly little habit you made into this addiction

why cant you stop this
when you started it so little in the beginning

you wonder what you have become
and feel that your dead inside

and this feeling of highness
gives you a soul
back inside your numbed body

that you crave to have a long time ago
before you started this habit

will this addiction ever stop??
or will it consume your body
to the point that you couldnt handle
the cravings and started using more and more
and this is what ya get.... being in the grave

for using so much that you forget
who you was..and became this person
who just need a quick fix

that you couldnt handle
and felt that your body couldnt take anymore
abused you were doing to it

that it writhered on the ground
and now we see you in the grave

for you couldnt stop
the little addiction you had started
on your own in the first place.

inspired by its all over by three days grace

0 What happened to this girl by Ariabelle Sierra

Does anyone care
that your alive or dead?

thats the question
that courses through your mind

when your feeling alone
that no one knows your here

Will you ever cope
with what happened to you as a kid?

will those thoughts every go away
that stay in the back of your head

or will they always keep
resurfing to hurt you again and again
in the future

when you think your better
from what people did?

or will you supress those memories
once again..so you dont have to deal with them???

No one cares where your at
no one cares what your dealing with

you have to fight the arguing
that goes on inside your head

you have to deal with people
talking about you

saying that your not who you are
and that your just another little
light that is loosing its beacon

and moving more into the dark side
so you can somehow get rid of these thoughts

so you dont have to deal with them anymore
dont have to deal with anything

just have a normal life
or somewhat a life
that you try to have

but those inner demons
hold you down
with your own dark memories
as your chains

that bind you to the ugly
dugeon that you made for yourself

the ugly scars
cutting deep into your
creamy flesh

to show whatl eaks in the inside
the crimson twisted with sulfur acid

both burning so bright
and so hard
that it snaps the bones in half

freeing you to start
something new with yourself

to recover from the ugly wounds
that you made on yourself
and what others did as well

you start descending more
into the abyss as the
cuts grow more and more
on your body

that theres nothing to do
but stay in this little
dark room you made
as your life now

Those little demons in your head
telling you to create new scars
to create more harm to your body

that its hard to hear
what your thinking in your own head

trying so hard no to listen to
what these little ugly beasts
are saying too you

but where did you loose yourself?
where did you go?

where did your other side go
where did your light go

that made you want to get up
and start a new life?

where did it all go
what happened to this person
you knew so well

why did you become something
so ugly that you dont recongize it yourself

will you ever figure out
what happened to the other side
of yourself

or will that always be gone
like the other memories
went too.....

just in a box
locked up somewhere
deep inside your soul??

that even you cant get to it
when you are feeling so lost

so down that you cant open this box
thats suppose to have some
wonderful memories
and your heart in it

why did you loose something
so precious that
it will never be in your grasp
ever again

what happened to that person
to the one knowing
how to be happy

how to live life
how to push the voices out
and to live a somewhat decent life

but these questions keep popping up
each time..when something triggers it

How will you cope
with people hurting you

with people taking away your innocence
and not caring what happened to you

didnt care you had a opinion
or a voice for that matter

only wanting what they wanted
and thats just lust

not a girl who had a heart
who had a mind..

NO they wanted just my body
just wanting to satisify themselves

never caring how i will feel
years later.. seeing what they did

to this body that once
belonged to a happy girl

they screwed it up...
screwed her mind up

making her think
that shes a disgrace

that no one wants her
that no one care who she is

or what she has to say...
when will her voice be heard???

will it be today
or will it be never????

is anyone going to help her
out of this drowning pool

or people going to watch again
and just silently look away
when she dies

in her own world.. for
not speaking up till now

0 The Definitive Guide: To how to write a poem worth reading

How to write a poem:

In the following post, I will try to list the criteria of a well-written poem.

1.Relate-able: The poem should be-able to be relate-able to your audience.
By this, I mean that your poem should spark an interest inside of them that they can identify with and think about, weather it be emotion, theme, or meaning.

2.Consistent and precise: The poem should follow a general writing style.
By this, it shouldn't stray from the point you are trying to achieve. The language should be precise in that the meaning can be deduced by the reader in an intelligent manner. The poem shouldn't rely on needed information that the author forgot to tell or left out. The flow of the poem should be lucid and smoothly transfer from verse to verse, stanza to stanza.

3.Original and unique: The poem should be original and unique.
By this, the writer should utilize their unique perceptions and identity to convey their message. The message itself should get the reader thinking in a new way. The meaning of the poem doesn't have to be original, per-say, just the perception you are trying to convey. The poem should fully explore the purpose of the poem. Although this is a double edge sword, don't be too metaphoric for the poems own good. Don't let your poem substitute wordiness for meaning. Don't let the poem be too unique and original that no one will get it.

4.Use poetic language: The poem should covey its message in poetic terms.
Use of imagery, metaphors, similes, poetic forms: haiku, sonnet, free verse, narrative, ect...

5.Show don't tell: Covey the goal in terms that the reader must deduce what is going on.
By this, I mean that instead of being straight to the point, allow the message to be taught through meaning instead of name. Don't name what is going on outright, show the meaning through actions, imagery, emotion, and so fourth.

Although this blog tries to identify key points of what makes a poem worth reading. It's up to the writer to express himself in an artistic manner. To be unconventional and progress our understanding of ourselves and life.

0 A Single Life...: Free Verse

0 Daydreams

My daydreams have a mind of their own
A life of their own
And I'm just another character
From another world
Trying to find my home

And I switch between
Nightmares and sweets
Just like night and day
And you may wonder why my heart beats
It's just its way

And even though this world adheres
To some degree of my design
You may find it weird
That it's hard to find a place to define
As mine

0 Depressed World

How it must feel to be homeless, all alone on the streets of this world
I ponder this quite often, wondering where I would go if I had no where else to go
Dropping through the cracks of our society into the dark subtext of this world’s heart

How would I ever crawl out of such a grimy, jagged crevice back into what I would call life
Protecting myself from the blackened hearts of our populous
Where would I get hope from when the truth is so horrible and lies seems so beautiful

Would I steal for food when I’m starving for strength
Would I kill for security, just to be safe and not for another night weep
I wish not to think about how dark the darkness would grow that’s already inside of me

And through my thoughts I find that this world doesn’t resemble me
Doesn’t value the same moral fiber as I do, doesn’t share the same deduction as I do
And I search for why I am here, why I can’t seem to survive in this alien world

“God why am I even alive in a world that I’m so different from that I can’t survive”

0 Death Stealer by Ariabelle Sierra

riding away with death
on a dark and enchanting horse

Hair gleaming in the milky moonlight
your face shadows all your fears

wondering why your letting death
take you away from your security place

What made you change your mind?
what made you want death instead of life?

DId you think being the princess of death
would change everything for you?

Or did you think you would have some
exciting fun
instead of a boring old safety net?

you hunger for death
that you dilluted yourself

thinking that youll be dancing
at masquerade balls

that this is your chance to be a princess
and get whatever you want
within your little grubby grasp

while hes wisking you away
on a dark magnificant beast

drifting away from the place you knew
and replacing it with his allure of magic

Showing you bedazzling lies
that he says will be yours
when you enter the underworld

while in his mind
hes laughing horriblely
knowing that he has captured a butterfly
in a web

one that cant be free
from the  fate they put themselves in

wondering if this nightmare
will ever go away

or if this is true
he will  torture their souls forever

0 The Closet Stairway

In the darkness I sit alone upon my bed staring into the closet

Where shadows are chanting in ritual with words I can not hear

And the fabric of reality started to assemble a staircase of petrified wood

I walked over in wonder to ponder what was down it's seemingly infinite steps

Peering down the deep abyss with orange glowing walls of rock

And I decided to venture down into the cavern I found myself within

Strange creatures climbed up the rock faces

They hung like bats from the stalactites

Usual sounds beat through the air like music

And I was compelled to go further down into it's depth

Towards the end, I saw a young beautiful woman entering a chasm of hallways and rooms

Like a dollhouse, stretching infinitely up and down the rock face

I could see into each lit room and hallway all of the residents that lived there

And I was amazed in wonder of at my upcoming adventure through this unknown world
